--benificial/healing properties of swelling in the body--

i had a part of my bod swell up the other week, and the issue generated some thoughts/insights about the condition, and it's natural medical value--

  the skinny--

i suggest, that in addition to the benefit of immobilizing the area of injury to the body, there are more, far greater values, to this natural healing system...i feel that when an area of the body swells, it can be described more pointedly, as "re-hydrated", or "super-hydrated", this "super-hydration", dilutes any toxins present at the site, and increases the "surface-area" of the injury( spreading out the damaged tissues), with the toxins in the area diluted, they are more easily removed from the site, via being absorbed by the blood, to be taken away to the muscles beneath( "o2"), and then to the liver, for disposal of the unwanted remaining material( "o2 + remainder"), after an "exchange" occurs, within the epidermis...where some of the toxins are evaporated, and left on the surface of the skin, and some are sent back to the muscles( in the form of "o2 + remainder"...see "sympathetic hydration" post)...i further suggest, that the site of injury will continue to hydrate( swell), until all of the toxins are removed from the area, and the tissue has resumed normal function...

--for more of my opinions, regarding "swelling dynamics" within the body, see my "sympathetic hydration "post--
