--The "Roman numerals"( i have reclaimed the system)--

  I am forced to use public wifi at the moment, and a few of my posts have gone missing( i had to reclaim some work off my Facebook page, that was removed from my computer), and i have to rewrite my "comets ice-tail" post, which i feel was erased while i was at a coffee shop, in Minnesota, before i moved away from there( i had my "config-system files" removed through the same coffee shop's wifi, a few times...and it was expensive to have fixed)...

  So, hackers, and information thieves beware...stealing the interior of authors books is not wise, or welcome...a piece of writing is like a painting, a critic in the field will know, immediately, that an article was written by "Steven king", or another author...stealing it, and uploading it to a copy write website, will not work, and you will be looking foolish, at the very least...also, really...what are the odds two people came up with the same answers, to a mystery that has baffled science, for over 1000 years, in the same decade??...zero, less than zero (0.09??)...or, at the very least, it's an "integer"...hope you enjoy the "Roman numerals", and to whomever has my "comets ice-tail thermodynamics post", i will get it back, and if you had it copy written already, so what...every literary critic in the world, will know it's mine, halfway through reading it( besides, thieves are often lazy, and if you copied it off my computer, you probably sent the stolen work to the copywriter written with my "MS Word" program...that's registered to me...and the program has the time, and the name of the person the "MS Word" is registered to (myself), embedded in the programming of the file you stole...so, there is proof you stole it--

Back to science...

  I got this one while i was sitting in front of an old clock, that was mounted above the street in Colorado springs...it had "Roman numerals" on it, instead of our modern numeric system, i feel i have it completely deciphered, correctly...i believe the current thinking about the "Roman numerals" is incorrect...so, i present it below (my way), for the inspection of science, i feel we may gain some knowledge that was lost, in regards to building structures that bear enormous loads, to support their own weight (i suggest that the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Spartans, and Trojans, all were building with the same math tools, that came from Egypt...i suggest, that they likely derived the weight of the roof of a structure, via weighing a square block of the stone to be used, or other material (wood, ect...)...something called a "cubit", and then added all the stones that would fit in the volume of the roof together, to get the "total weight" that would bear on all sides of the roof...the "total load", in "cubits"...after this value was known, i feel that the engineers simply divided the "total load" of the roof, by the number of the columns that they were sent, to support the structure...via adding all of the numeric values that would have been inscribed on each column, together, to show the "load capacity" of all of the columns working together...once the numeric value of all of the columns was greater than the "total load" of the roof in "cubits", they knew how many columns to use...meaning, if you have columns that all have "X"(10), written on them, and your roof"s "total load", is 100, you add columns together, until you get a numeric value above 100, and then evenly space the columns around the perimeter of the roof, and you will then know, that the building is sound..."by-the-numbers"...if my belief is correct, about this system of building, every column in Roman architecture, will have a "Roman numeral" inscribed on it...as well as the Egyptian, Greek, Spartan, and Trojan columns...

  Here are the "Roman numerals" i have deciphered, so far, that will be in the interior of my next book, i have only counted to 800 or so, with the system, i will eventually count to a "phalanx" (the Roman value for a "company" of soldiers)...i believe that the Roman's system, was the birth of modern addition, and subtraction, due to the Romans utilizing the value of a "phalanx" as the "finite number", in their system of addition...meaning, once the value they were counting to reached a "phalanx", they simply started counting all over again, from 1...and marked this second value, below the first value( a "phalanx")...and then added them together, to get the "total", without utilizing an incredibly long number, since i believe you can count much higher than a "phalanx", with the "Roman numeric system", but, the numbers generated are so long, that writing them on papyrus, or stone, would be tedious, and hard to read...with very much space required to inscribe them...

                                                              --ROMAN MATH--

The "Roman numeral system"( explained)--

    I had an epiphany a few minutes ago, about the "Roman numerals", that i wanted to save...i saw a clock above the street, with “Roman numerals”, instead of “regular” numbers on it today, and i figured out their system, right then, due to my work on their “surveying system”, that i feel they were using in the "Roman time-period"...the "Roman numerals" are deciphered below, into "regular "numbers( my way differs from the popular "scientific opinion" though)--

1  = I
2 =  II

3 = III

4 =  IV  <<---this is the first key to the system...a capitol "i" ( the symbol for the number 1), is put before the symbol for 5( a capitol "V")...and this indicates that you subtract, the value of 1, from the value 5...due to a symbol for 1, before the symbol for 5, means you subtract the value before the symbol for 5, from the value of 5...and this is the first key to the system, meaning...IV  is the "Roman numeral" for the number 4....

V =  5

VI = 6    this is the second key to reading "Roman numerals"...if the symbol for 1( a capitol "I"), is after the symbol for 5( a capitol "V"), then the value of however many capitol "I" symbols, that are after the symbol for the number 5( "V")...are then added to the value of 5( "V")...to indicate a value of 6( "VI")--

VII = 7

VIII =  8

IX = 9  this is the third key to the "Roman numeral system"...the capitol letter "X" indicates a value of 10...and the capitol letter "I" before the symbol for 10( "X"), indicates that we must subtract the value of 1( "I"), that is before the symbol for 10( "X")...meaning...1 - 10 = 9( "IX" )...

X = 10

XI = 11   this is the fourth key to reading "Roman numerals"...the value of 1 ( "I"), after the symbol for 10( "X"), is added to the value of 10( "X")...meaning...10 + 1 = 11( "XI")...indicating 11--

XII = 12  this is as far as the clock went, in "Roman numerals"...i feel i can derive the rest, from this many numbers on the dial...the clock may have been a way for the average person, to learn, and retain, the "Roman numeral system", for the future generations of Romans--

XIII = 13

XIV = 14  this is another key to the system i am theorizing is correct...the symbol for 10( "X"), is in front of the symbol for 4( "IV"), indicating that we add the value of 4("IV") to the value of ten( "X")...to get 10 + 4 = 14( "XIV")--

XV = 15

XVI = 16  here is another key to reading the "Roman numerals"...the same as before, we add the value of 1 ("I") that is found after the symbols for 15("XV")...indicating that we add 1 to 15, to get 16("XVI")--

XVII = 17

XVIII = 18   here is another key to reading "Roman numerals"....there is never more than three capitol "I" symbols, after a value(3), instead, the symbol for 5("V"), or the symbol for 10( "X")...is used before the symbol "I", to display 1...this way is used, instead of having more than three capital "I" symbols( 1+1+1+1...since the symbol for 4, is "IV")--

XIX = 19  this is another key to reading the "Roman numerals"...only one symbol, for the number 1( "I"), will be put in front of the symbol for 5( "V"), and the symbol for 10("X")...to indicate you must subtract 1, from 10, to get 9...seen as "10 + 9(1 - 10) = 19

XX = 20

XXI = 21

XXII = 22

XXIII = 23

XXIV = 24

XXV = 25

XXVI =  26

XXVII =  27

XXVIII =  28

XXIX = 29    at this point, the system repeats, again, and again, we only need to put a second "X" symbol, in front of the second digit of the number we are writing, in the "Roman numeral system", to indicate "29"( XXIX)...instead of 19( XIX)...

XXX = 30

XXXI = 31

XXXII = 32

XXXIII = 33

XXXIV = 34

XXXV = 35

XXXVI = 36

XXXVII = 37

XXXVIII = 38

XXXIX = 39

XL = 40  here is another “tough spot” in the "Roman numeral system"…after three symbols are displayed, that are the same symbol…an “I”( indicating 1), or a “X”( indicating 10), a new symbol must be utilized, in the "Roman numeral system"…in this case, modern science contends that an “L”( indicating the value of "fifty"), must be deployed, after three “X” symbols are already in use( since there can not be 4 “X” symbols in a row)…and so, we must subtract 10 from 50, to get 40( meaning, an “X” before the “L”, indicates that we must subtract the left value from the right value, to get 40…I do not agree, this suggested way is far to “choppy”, with huge “jumps” in the system, that are not “linear”…making the system hard to read…I suggest instead, that no value higher than “I”( 1), is ever put to the left of another value, to be subtracted, in the "Roman numeral system"…my theory, regarding continued counting, with the "Roman numeral system", above this numeric value, are below, for everyone's inspection--

Note--

  I have a difference of opinion about the way the "Roman numerals" should go, after this point…I suggest that there is never a value grater than “I”(  1 in our modern counting system), before the second value in the number being expressed, to be subtracted( as mentioned in the above paragraph), so…I believe 40 should be an “L” symbol, in the "Roman numeral system", instead of 50…so that the system can continue, in an orderly fashion, as before…see below for examples--

LI = 41

LII = 42

LIII = 43

LIV = 44

LV = 45

LVI = 46

LVII = 47

LVIII = 48

LIX = 49

LX = 50    this is a continuation of the system, and seems natural…we add the left value, ”L”( 40), to the “X” value(10)…to get 50( “LX”)…

LXI = 51

LXII =52
LXIII = 53
LXIV = 54
LXV = 55
LXVI = 56
LXVII = 57
LXVIII = 58
LXIX =59

LXX = 60  here we see a deviation of the numbers again, in my opinion, based upon the repetition of the earlier numbers i was able to derive, up until the number thirty…the system must repeat, in ”threes”…meaning, an “L”, for "forty", must be deployed, with no more than three “X” symbols( 10) after it, until you reach 70, also of note, an ”I” symbol(1), before another symbol, besides “I”(1)…indicates you must subtract 1 from the value after it…if there is an “I” symbol( 1), after another “I” symbol( 1), you must add the two together, to get “2”…

LXXI = 61
LXXII = 62
LXXIII = 63
LXXIV = 64
LXXV = 65
LXXVI = 66
LXXVII = 67
LXXVIII = 68
LXXIX = 69
LXXX = 70
LXXXI = 71
LXXXII = 72
LXXXIII = 73
LXXXIV = 74
LXXXV = 75
LXXXVI = 76
LXXXVII = 77
LXXXVIII = 78

LXXXIX = 79  here we see the system naturally repeating, as it should, where we must have another symbol, in front of 40, and I suggest we must deploy another “L”( 40), in front of the symbol ”L”( 40)…to indicate 40 + 40 = 80(“LL”)…

LL = 80
LLI = 81
LLII = 82
LLIII = 83
LLIV = 84
LLV = 85
LLVI = 86

LLXII = 92
LLXIII = 93
LLXIV = 94
LLXV = 95
LLXVI = 96
LLXVII = 97
LLXVIII = 98
LLXIX = 99

C = 100   here, the modern interpretation of the system deviates from my beliefs, about this way of counting( "Roman numerals"), due to "popular scientific opinion", suggesting that “C” is the value of 100, in our modern system of counting, this may be almost right…although, in my opinion, the system could continue quite nicely, in the previous way i was suggesting the "Roman numeric system" works, via adding another “X” symbol( 10), after “LLX”(90), to get “LLXX = 100), and this would allow the system to continue naturally, until we reached “LLXXXIX = 40+40+10+10+10+9(1-10) = 119…afterward, we would need to add another “L” symbol(40)…to get “LLL = 120”…and the system could repeat, until we reach “LLLXXXIX = 40+40+40+10+10+10+9(1-10) = 159…requiring a new symbol again, for 160…see below

LLXX = 100
LLXXI = 101
LLXXII = 102
LLXXIII = 103
LLXXIV = 104
LLXXV = 105
LLXXVI = 106
LLXXVII = 107
LLXXVIII = 108
LLXXIX = 109
LLXXX = 110
LLXXXI = 111
LLXXXII = 112
LLXXXIII = 113
LLXXXIV = 114
LLXXXV = 115
LLXXXVI = 116
LLXXXVII = 117
LLXXXVIII = 118
LLXXXIX = 119

LLL = 120    here we see another situation where we are about to require a new "Roman numeral", after we have exhausted the possibilities of the "Roman numeral" “L”…and we must go to the value “C” after we reach “LLLXXXIX”…in the "Roman numeral system"( “C” is for the hundredths values, in the "Roman numeric system")--

LLLI = 121
LLLII = 122
LLLIII = 123
LLLIV = 124
LLLV = 125
LLLVI = 126
LLLVII = 127
LLLVIII = 128
LLLIX = 129
LLLX = 130
LLLXI = 131
LLLXII = 132
LLLXIII = 133
LLLXIV = 134
LLLXV = 135
LLLXVI = 136
LLLXVII = 137
LLLXVIII = 138
LLLXIX = 139
LLLXX = 140
LLLXXI = 141
LLLXXII = 142
LLLXXIII = 143
LLLXXIV = 144
LLLXXV = 145
LLLXXVI = 146
LLLXXVII = 147
LLLXXVIII = 148
LLLXXIX = 149
LLLXXX = 150
LLLXXXI = 151
LLLXXXII = 152
LLLXXXIII = 153
LLLXXXIV = 154
LLLXXXV = 155
LLLXXXVI = 156
LLLXXXVII = 157
LLLXXXVIII = 158
LLLXXXIX = 159

C = 160    here we have expended the possibilities of the value “L”…as mentioned above, we must go to a new "Roman numeral", to indicate a value of 160( “C”)…

CI = 161
CII = 162
CIII = 163
CIV = 164
CV = 165
CVI = 166
CVII = 167
CVIII = 168
CIX = 169
CX  =  170
CXI = 171
CXII = 172
CXIII = 173
CXIV = 174
CXV = 175
CXVI = 176
CXVII = 177
CXVIII = 178
CXIX = 179
CXX = 180

  So, we see that the future number where we expend the possibilities of the value “C” , in "Roman numerals", is “ 160+160+160+10+10+10+9(1-10) = 519 or…”CCCXXXIX”(519), in "Roman numerals"….and we must go to the next "Roman numeral", for numbers above 519(“D”)…

CCCXXXIX = 519
D = 520
DI = 521
DII = 522

   Now we see the system repeating itself again, as before…and we can deduce, that the value “D” in "Roman numerals" will be exhausted, when we reach the value of “DDDXXXIX”( 520+520+520+10+10+10+9(1-10) = 1599 , at this time, we must go to the next "Roman numeral", to indicate a value of 1600( “M”)…and the system continues, again--

M = 1600
MI = 1601
MII = 1603

Again the system repeats itself, until the value of “M” is exhausted…at the value of “MMMXXXIX”( 1600+1600+1600+10+10+10+9(1-10) = 4839 , at this point, we can add an “L”( 40), and continue counting higher, although I doubt that the "Roman numerals" continue on, higher and higher, similar to our modern system of counting, instead, i believe this is as far as the Romans really needed to count, I suggest they simply began counting again, from 1(“I”), after reaching a “phalanx”)…up until they reached 4839 again, and then simply said that they had “two groups of 4839”…and this could be written simply, via putting “MMMXXXIX” directly below another “MMMXXXIX”…to indicate that the two must be added together…see below--

MMMXXXIX
MMMXXXIX
____________
      9678

   Displayed in modern numbers as….1600+1600+1600+1600+1600+1600+10+10+10+10+10+10+9( 1-10) +9( 1-10) = 9678  and it’s that simple, after “MMMXXXIX”, where i feel the "Roman numeral system" ends…you can just put the next value to be added, directly below the “final value” of “MMMXXXIX”( 4839)…and get a value above 9678, meaning…4840 in "Roman numerals" would be as follows, below( I believe this to be the origin of our modern system of addition, and subtraction, where one value is placed below the other, to solve the problem)…

MMMXXXIX
I =
____________
4840

  And at this point, the "Roman numeral system" can repeat itself, from the beginning, and be added to the previous “final value” of “MMMXXXIX”( 4839)…over, and over again…into infinity, and even farther than that--

Summary--

  I believe this way is correct, where the system repeats…so it’s easy to understand, and read…instead of having so many leaps in subtraction( like the "modern scientific opinion" suggests, where they mix the "Roman symbols", in the "Roman numeric system"…”LCM” is an example, that i feel is an error…)…so, again…I feel that it’s important in the system that an “I” symbol, put before any other symbol, besides another “I” symbol(1)…indicates that you must subtract the value of “I”(1), from the value to the right of it…always…if we subtract 10(“X”), from the symbol for a number to the right of it(“L”,”C”,”M”…ect…), the system gets too complicated to read, when displaying larger numbers…and it just doesn’t work( for more about the "Roman numerals", and to see me display counting all the way to 4839, see my blog digitaldoodlesandmind-farts.blogspot.com/ and read my “Roman numerals post”--

                                                  ---The "Roman numerals" above 180---

   Here are the remaining numbers i have deciphered...up until around 800...

The "Roman numerals"( continued)--

   Here are some of the remaining "Roman numerals", of the "Roman numeric system", decoded for everyone to inspect…the first portion of the system is in my upcoming book, “digital doodles and mind-farts”…and it will be out soon, I am saving time by not adding this important first portion of the system( 1-180)…I will post the first 180 decoded "numerals" soon…enjoy--

CL = 200    Here is the other main key to counting with "Roman numerals"…we must add 40(“L”), to the symbol for 160(“C”) to get 200(“CL”)…and this concept is the way we must count, above this number, in the "Roman numeral system"…

   Out of time at the library…I may decide to count all the way to 4389 (“MMMXXXIX”, in "Roman numerals")…it could take a while though, clearly i have it…what to do after 1000 is going to be interesting…it should be more of the same, and i am certain i have re-derived the "Roman numeric system"…for all time--

   i am resuming counting to 4389 today, here goes--

    looks good, the pattern works all the way to 1600, i am going to start a new post for the numbers from 1600 to 4839, due to size constraints of this post( it' slowing down my "puter" very much))....again, i'm going all the way to 4839( a phaylanx), in a second post about the roman numerals--

Best wishes, john kruschke--

i started 06/02/2016, resumed work on  10/21/202020--
