--et's cell phone( bill past due)--

ET...proof that if you call with the right phone, not only does someone answer,
but they show up...

 ET's phone--

i viewed the one at the "museum of science and industry" awhile back, as i remember, it was the satellite dish ET constructed, in the film about him...it was made with a record player, umbrella, saw-blade, and some silverware...there was also a green rubber-looking string( a paddle-game's rubber cord, that retracted the arm that moved the saw blade, the strap went from the record-players arm, to the tree branch, and also around the back of the player, to provide a retract system for turning the saw blade)--

so, the tree branch turned the record-players turn-table with the fork, that was retracted out of the way, instantly, by the green paddle-game cord, the saw blade was painted blue, to insulate the steel of the blade in areas other than where contact was desired, to bridge the two contacts held against the blade, these wires went to the keypad of the "speak-and-spell", the pattern of unpainted areas on the saw-blade, were "contact areas" for the wires held against the saw-blade, that went to the keypad of the "speak-and-spell", for simulating a person typing the letters in, over and over( automated input)--

next, the "speak-and-spell's" speaker was taped to a walkie-talkie, to covert the audible, repeated, message, to one that was an "R-F signal", by the two hand-held walkie-talkies, the second walkie-talkie, went to an old tv receiver, for the "UHF band", this was then affixed to a tin can, that sent the "R-F radio waves" downward, to the umbrella, that was covered in tin-foil, to reflect these waves outward, into space...

the bottom line...what was the message he sent??

answer--   "send help"( "HELP" )...and they did...

note--

i believe the modern system of bouncing the signal going in/out, to a light-weight reflector, suspended in front-of the center of the dish, came from the same person that built this first device...( allowing less expensive, and smaller/more powerful dishes to exist...since the signal goes from the center of the dish, to the reflector suspended in front of it, and is then bounced backwards, to the large reflector of the dish, containing the receiver/transmitter...and then on into space)--

  best wishes, john kruschke
